This week, the team kept our weekly meeting short and sweet so we could welcome and acclimate our two summer interns, Danika Hassett and Kaleigh Brahosky.
Here’s what we learned during this week’s weekly meeting:
LinkedIn is offering free resources on how you can show up as an ally in your workplace by fostering more inclusivity and belonging. Courses are running now through August 31 and focus on things like understanding and confronting unconscious bias, how to have inclusive conversations and communicate across cultures and creating diverse and inclusive workspaces. More information on all the courses offered can be found here.
Is your business encouraging customers to leave reviews or give testimonials? If you’re not, now’s the time to start! 97% of people read reviews for local businesses which means if you don’t have any, they’re more likely to move on to a competitor that does. Not sure how to go about getting people to drop a review on Facebook, Yelp, Google or other review platforms? Start by simply asking. If you find that’s not enough, sometimes a little incentive can go a long way like offering a discount off of a future purchase.
Looking to save time on your own content creation while connecting with followers? Start incorporating User Generated Content (UGC) into your marketing strategy. It saves you time by repurposing content that’s already been created, enhances your authenticity as a brand and builds customer trust. Encouraging UGC also helps expand your brand’s reach as their followers who may not already follow you gain exposure to your brand.
