Instagram announced on Tuesday the ability to follow hashtags, making it super easy to put the content that matters most to you right on your feed.
“Following a hashtag is just like following a friend,” the Instagram release said. But instead of just seeing your friend’s latest meal and photos of their dog, you’re going to see content that you actually want to see.
We’re excited to be able to use this hashtag follow feature – especially with our clients like Recreation News, who has an ongoing hashtag campaign #LivePlayDo that encourages users to submit their Mid-Atlantic adventures.
Heads up, though – the hashtags you follow will be visible to other users if you have a public profile.
How will you encourage your followers to follow your brand’s hashtag campaign?
