When it comes to managing social media accounts (especially at the agency level), it’s important to have some tools that you trust handy to get the job done.
Because we’re scheduling dozens of social messages on any given day, we rely on quite a few tools here at Hello Social Co.
Hello Social Co. owner Ellen has used Hootsuite religiously since her first gig in social media during an internship. Years later, it still is the top go-to social media tool for Hello Social.
We use it primarily for monitoring what’s happening with our clients’ accounts, and for scheduling content in advance when appropriate.
While we don’t use Buffer all that often to manage our clients’ social media accounts, Ellen uses Buffer to ensure that her personal Twitter and Linkedin accounts are constantly spewing out relevant information.
By installing a buffer extension to Google Chrome, you can add social messages to your queue with a click of a mouse.
When you’re managing more than one Instagram account, it can get difficult to manage what hashtags you’re using on all of them. We use Google Keep to keep handy our favorites for each account. Then, we just copy and paste them right onto our posts, and alter them as necessary based on trending topics, relevancy and more.
Even if you’re just running one Instagram account for your business, you can make use of this tool. Create separate keep notes with hashtags that help you meet certain goals.
While having quality, real photos of you and your business for social media is something we always preach, there are just times you need to rely on a stock photo.
We prefer using Unsplash or Pixabay to get the job done. Or, if you have a few extra bucks in your marketing budget and have a bit of a girly scheme going on your accounts, try out Social Squares.
