2026 Content Creator Program — Request for Proposals (RFP)

Issued by: Discover Bedford County

Program period: March–December 2026

Overview

Discover Bedford County invites content creators to submit proposals for participation in the 2026 Content Creator Program, a limited, curated series of creator partnerships designed to showcase the region through authentic, seasonal storytelling.

This program will support Discover Bedford County’s ongoing brand launch and social media strategy by generating high-quality, on-brand content that highlights the destination’s landscapes, communities, experiences, and sense of place. The emphasis is on quality over quantity, with a small group of creators selected to contribute content across the 2026 travel seasons.

A total of 5–8 creators will be selected for the full program year.

All creator partnerships and communications will be facilitated by Discover Bedford County’s social media partner, Hello Social Co., on behalf of the destination.

Program goals

The 2026 Content Creator Program is designed to:

  • Introduce Bedford County to new, relevant audiences within key drive markets
  • Build a versatile library of photo and video assets for ongoing social media use
  • Tell cohesive seasonal stories rooted in community pride and authentic experiences
  • Support organic and paid social campaigns throughout the year

Program timeline

Creator visits will take place between April and December 2026, with hosting dates coordinated individually based on seasonal focus and campaign needs.

Creators may indicate availability and preferred seasons within their proposal. Final scheduling will be determined collaboratively with Discover Bedford County.

Scope of work & required deliverables

Each selected creator will be expected to deliver the following:

  • 1–2 Instagram Reels
  • 1 Instagram carousel post
  • Instagram Stories shared during and/or immediately following the visit
  • 5–10 licensed assets (photo and/or short-form video clips) for Discover Bedford County’s social media use

Licensed assets should include a mix of:

  • People-in-place moments
  • Scenic and environmental shots
  • Short, evergreen b-roll clips suitable for reuse in future campaigns

Content pillars & seasonal storytelling

Proposals should demonstrate a clear understanding of Discover Bedford County’s core content pillars and how the creator’s work would support them.

Content pillars include:

  • Outdoors & scenic drives
  • Wellness & slow stays
  • Heritage & small-town stories
  • Makers, markets & culinary
  • Itineraries & the unexpected

Creators are not expected to cover all pillars. Instead, proposals should identify 1–2 primary pillars the creator is best suited to support.

Creators are encouraged to propose seasonal storytelling ideas, such as how their content approach would differ between spring, summer, fall, or early winter.

Budget & compensation

Creators are asked to submit their proposed budget based on the required deliverables outlined in this RFP.

Discover Bedford County will:

  • Provide accommodations during the hosted visit
  • Arrange select meals and hosted experiences as part of the itinerary

Creator proposals should reflect:

  • Creative and production time
  • Posting and delivery of required content
  • Licensing of agreed-upon assets for Discover Bedford County’s social media use

Usage rights

By participating in the program, creators agree to license the agreed-upon assets to Discover Bedford County for use on its owned social media channels, including organic and paid placements. Full licensing terms will be outlined in the final agreement.

Evaluation criteria

Proposals will be evaluated based on:

  • Alignment with Discover Bedford County’s brand and content pillars
  • Strength and consistency of past content
  • Engagement quality and audience relevance
  • Audience location within key regional drive markets
  • Clarity, creativity, and feasibility of proposed seasonal ideas
  • Professionalism and reliability
