Our policy regarding AI-generated imagery

Sharing is Caring!

AI tools have become part of how many small businesses and organizations get their work done, and we understand why. When time, budgets, and staff are limited, accessible tools can make a difference.

At Hello Social Co., we’ve made a decision about where those tools fit into our work: We will not create, schedule, or publish AI-generated imagery, or manage the comments and direct messages associated with those posts.

Our work is rooted in storytelling and creative expertise. We want the content we help produce and share to accurately reflect the people, places, and experiences our clients offer. That commitment guides the assets we use and the work we take responsibility for.

What this means for our clients

Clients can make their own decisions about using AI within their organizations. This policy sets a boundary for Hello Social Co.’s workflow.

If a client independently publishes AI-generated imagery, they will also be responsible for the comments and direct messages connected to that content. This includes routine engagement as well as questions or concerns about the imagery, its accuracy, or how it was created.

Those conversations can require additional monitoring and response time, particularly when a post draws criticism or creates confusion. That additional work can affect the time available for planned content and the audience engagement included in our services.

For this policy, AI-generated imagery includes visuals created with generative AI and images altered with AI to add or replace people, scenery, products or other meaningful details.

Finding alternatives

We’re happy to work with clients to identify options that fit their needs and resources, whether that means making better use of existing photos, creating a simpler graphic, or planning for new content.

We can also recommend local graphic designers, photographers, and videographers who can help. Working with these professionals gives clients content that reflects what they actually offer while supporting the creative talent in their communities.
