Local agency launches initiative for small businesses, students
Bellefonte-based social media agency Hello Social Co. is launching and looking for business and organization applicants for its new initiative, Focus on Local: Social Spark.
The 10-week program will see one regional business benefit from the work of dedicated junior social media managers that will help to create and execute a social media strategy that fosters long-term success. Work will be overseen by the experienced social media team at Hello Social Co.
There are no monetary costs for the participating business. Program interns are receiving credit for their work with Hello Social Co., and will receive a performance-based stipend. Businesses can apply online at hellosocialco.com/socialspark. Applications are due by June 5, 2020.
“We strive to facilitate an internship program where interns receive real, career-influencing work opportunities,” said Ellen Matis, founder and CEO of the agency. “Through this program, we’re able to take an intern through our entire client process by allowing them to work with a business that hasn’t worked with us previously.”
Business’ applications will be considered based on the strengths of the interns. Some interns might be well-suited to retail-based businesses, while others might have background in a specific industry that they are pursuing a career in. Applications will be retained and considered for future Social Spark cohorts.
Businesses must be located within a 60-minute drive of State College, Pennsylvania.
