Does ChatGPT have a place in content creation?

Sharing is Caring!

It’s no secret that marketers everywhere have questioned AI in a lot of ways. Some are asking “will AI replace me?” and others are wondering “can this help me in some way?”

I’ve taken a pretty casual approach to understanding how I can use ChatGPT in my work here at Hello Social Co. For example, I’ve used it to give me some ideas when I’m having some intense writer’s block; and for the most part, I’ve played around asking it ridiculous questions to procrastinate on actual projects.

Right now, I’m spending a lot of time thinking about content creators and influencers, and working on creating my own content that supports the Hello Social Co. Creator Network, a platform we launched earlier this year.

Out of curiosity, I asked ChatGPT to create an itinerary for a content creator’s visit to a destination. I thought I would get a filtered down agenda including some of the must-visit spots I included in my prompt. I was surprised to see what turned into an extremely thorough agenda, including ideas for the creator to produce images and videos from each spot. It even included a disclaimer at the end. See the full response below.

My take on ChatGPT? It’s an extremely valuable tool — if you are already a great communicator. AI isn’t going to replace marketers or writers or any other number of industries. You have to be able to ask the right questions or finesse the perfect prompt in order to really see the value in an AI tool.
